Formula 1 2011: Lewis, What’s Happening To You?
English press is attacking the 2008 world champion because what happened last Sunday was just the latest in a series of run-ins between Massa andHamilton. Hamilton left the circuit without comment, but there were different reactions.
Button, the last man standing in the title chase withSebastian Vettel (is also likely to become the first team-mate to beat Hamilton in the world championship) says that Lewis will need to find his own way out of his troubles.
Massa simply told him he is mindless, trying to beSuperman.
On the other side Whitmarsh sees Hamilton in the same style as three-times world champion Ayrton Senna and seven-times title holder Michael Schumacher and he suggest him to forget his row with Felipe Massa and continue his attacking style to win more championships. This sounds rather like a too tolerant parent, dismissed the latest accident as “a racing incident” even though Hamilton was clearly at fault (Paul Weaver- The Guardian)
But three-times world champion Sir Jackie Stewart has another point of view: he says Hamilton “jumps out of gear mentally” and needs stronger management. We agree because if his boss keeps going on smiling and saying boys will be boys, who will take care of Lewis?
