The Ducati Diavel<\/strong> is the second cruiser motorcycle from Ducati,<\/strong> after the Indiana<\/strong> of 1986\u20131990. The 2011 model year Diavel<\/strong> debuted in November 2010 at the EICMA<\/strong> motorcycle show in Milan.<\/strong> The engine is a retuned version of the 1,198.4 cc (73.13 cu in) Testastretta<\/strong> from the 1198 superbike,now called the Testastretta 11\u00b0 for its 11\u00b0 valve overlap (reduced from 41\u00b0).<\/p>\n Styling for the Diavel was developed in-house, although the project began under the leadership of Ducati’s<\/strong> previous design chief, Pierre Terblanche<\/strong>, who commissioned Glynn Kerr,<\/strong> freelance designer and design columnist for Motorcycle Consumer News,<\/strong> to produce the initial concept sketches.
