Originally the track weaved through the streets of nearby<strong> Hohenstein-Ernstthal<\/strong> \u2013 the first race taking place in 1927 \u2013 but when it became too dangerous, <strong>Sachsenring<\/strong> was constructed, 3.67km in length combining ten left turns and just three rights and has hosted the <strong>German GP since 1998<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Championship leader <strong>Marc<\/strong> has an exceptional record at this track having won here the last four years (2013 MotoGP, 2012 and 2011 Moto2, 2010 125cc). Teammate Dani, who unfortunately missed the race last year due to an injury sustained in<strong> Saturday\u2019s FP3<\/strong>, also has an incredible history at this circuit with six victories (four in MotoGP), and a total of seven podiums.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Marc Marquez &#8211; Championship Standing 1st<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-style: italic;\">It was a tough and complicated weekend in Assen, but I was really happy to win a race under such tricky conditions. Now we have Sachsenring which is a nice circuit, but quite special as it\u2019s so small! Last year I had a good race but we must remember that neither Dani or Jorge were able to race so this year I look forward to racing them, especially as Dani is so strong at this track! It seems the Honda is well suited to this circuit so we will look to make the most of this advantage<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dani Pedrosa &#8211; Championship Standing 3rd<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-style: italic;\">It was a tricky weekend in Assen and in those kind of races, it\u2019s easy to lose many points in the Championship, so I\u2019m pleased with our podium finish. Now we\u2019re heading to Germany where I had a disappointing weekend last year after being declared unfit to race due to my crash on Saturday. I always enjoy racing at Sachsenring and finding the right set up is critical &#8211; especially as you spend a lot of time on the left, but the fastest corner is to the right, so tyre performance will be key.
