{"id":237145,"date":"2014-09-15T22:00:00","date_gmt":"2014-09-15T20:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rtrsports.com\/motogp-marc-vds-to-move-up-to-motogp-class-in-2015-with-scott-redding\/"},"modified":"2024-08-09T02:10:03","modified_gmt":"2024-08-09T00:10:03","slug":"motogp-marc-vds-to-move-up-to-motogp-class-in-2015-with-scott-redding","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rtrsports.com\/en\/blog\/motogp-marc-vds-to-move-up-to-motogp-class-in-2015-with-scott-redding\/","title":{"rendered":"MotoGP: Marc VDS to move up to MotoGP class in 2015 with Scott Redding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/rtrsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/d-copy-3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-11500\" src=\"https:\/\/rtrsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/d-copy-3.jpg\" alt=\"marc-vds-redding\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a>The Marc VDS Racing Team confirmed their rise into the premiere class of motorcycle racing for the upcoming season at the<strong> Misano Grand Prix<\/strong> last weekend.\u00a0With their participation in <strong>MotoGP,<\/strong> the belgian team is competing in all three classes of the championship.<\/p>\n<p>The team is most successful in the Moto2 class, since the battle for the championship is more or less discharged between both <strong>Marc VDS<\/strong> riders, <strong>Esteve \u201eTito\u201c Rabat<\/strong> and <strong>Mika Kalli<\/strong>o.\u00a0The veteran Kallio will be replaced by current Moto3 rider <strong>\u00c1lex M\u00e1rquez<\/strong>, whereas <strong>Rabat<\/strong> stays with the team for one more year.<\/p>\n<p>Little less success is granted for the team in Moto3.\u00a0They started the season with <strong>Livio Loi<\/strong> as their only rider.\u00a0Loi is a belgian rider and teaming him up with a team situated in Belgium, seemed like a fitting choice.\u00a0Unfortunately the collaboration between rider and team wasn&#8217;t as successful as expected.<\/p>\n<p>The young rider had his issues with the bike, but despite many attempts of his team to fix any of his problems, the expected results were slow in coming.\u00a0So the Marc VDS team decided to replace their fellow countrymen with the young spaniard<strong> Jorge Navarro<\/strong> from the <strong>Indianapolis Grand Prix<\/strong> on.\u00a0A win bringing choice, since Navarro has hardly any world championship-experience, and rides a satisfying season, considering his greenness.<\/p>\n<p>With their <strong>MotoGP<\/strong> participation the team hopes for an even better performance.\u00a0Along with the release of their team, <strong>Marc VDS<\/strong> made public which rider will move the factory supported<strong> Honda RC213V<\/strong>, they&#8217;ll receive.\u00a0The choice fell on brit <strong>Scott Redding<\/strong>, who was part of the <strong>Marc VDS<\/strong> family once, riding the <strong>Moto2<\/strong> bike last year.\u00a0Both sides seems quite happy about the collaboration, that lasts for three years.\u00a0If <strong>Redding<\/strong> will have a <strong>teammate<\/strong> is not decided yet.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Marc VDS Racing Team confirmed their rise into the premiere class of motorcycle racing for the upcoming season at the Misano Grand Prix last weekend.\u00a0With their participation in MotoGP, the belgian team is competing in all three classes of the championship.
