{"id":237205,"date":"2014-11-06T23:00:00","date_gmt":"2014-11-06T22:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rtrsports.com\/motogp-hiroshi-aoyama-becomes-test-rider-for-hrc\/"},"modified":"2024-08-09T02:14:31","modified_gmt":"2024-08-09T00:14:31","slug":"motogp-hiroshi-aoyama-becomes-test-rider-for-hrc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rtrsports.com\/en\/blog\/motogp-hiroshi-aoyama-becomes-test-rider-for-hrc\/","title":{"rendered":"MotoGP: Hiroshi Aoyama becomes test rider for HRC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/rtrsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/260320-3-scaled-1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-11819\" src=\"https:\/\/rtrsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/260320-3-scaled-1.jpg\" alt=\"Hiroshi Aoyama\" width=\"100%\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><strong>Hiroshi Aoyama<\/strong> has received an offer by <strong>HRC<\/strong> to become one of their test riders.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Especially when it comes to testing with the new <strong>Michelin<\/strong> tires in 2015, the <strong>Honda Racing Coorporation<\/strong> is in need for a younger test rider.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">He could possibly replace <strong>Shinichi Itoh<\/strong>, who, with his 47 years, seems to be at the end of his career.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><strong>Aoyama,<\/strong> being 32 years old, has enough expierence in <strong>MotoGP<\/strong> and smaller classes (He&#8217;s the 2009 250cc-world champion) to do a good job and therefor will be able to provide actionable informations for the engineers at <strong>Honda.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The japanese, after entering the premiere class of motorcycle racing in 2010, is currently riding an &#8220;open&#8221; <strong>Honda<\/strong> alongside <strong>Nicky Hayden<\/strong> in the <strong>Aspar MotoGP team<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">He&#8217;s listed in <strong>13th<\/strong> place in the overall standings, with the likes of his teammate and <strong>Ducati<\/strong> factory rider <strong>Cal Crutchlow<\/strong> behind him.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">But despite this satisfying results, there are little chances for <strong>Aoyama<\/strong> to continue riding in <strong>MotoGP.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">A possibility is <strong>Iodaracing-Aprilia<\/strong>, but since the team competes with this years bike and has to fight with a lack of sponsors, it won&#8217;t be the most attractive choice.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">So a position as a test rider for <strong>HRC<\/strong> surely is the best offer the <strong>japanese<\/strong> could take.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hiroshi Aoyama has received an offer by HRC to become one of their test riders.
