{"id":237478,"date":"2015-11-22T23:00:00","date_gmt":"2015-11-22T22:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rtrsports.com\/press-release-honda-bid-a-fond-farewell-to-casey-stoner\/"},"modified":"2024-08-09T02:38:52","modified_gmt":"2024-08-09T00:38:52","slug":"press-release-honda-bid-a-fond-farewell-to-casey-stoner","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rtrsports.com\/en\/blog\/press-release-honda-bid-a-fond-farewell-to-casey-stoner\/","title":{"rendered":"Press release:  Honda bid a fond farewell to Casey Stoner"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Honda Press Release:<strong> Casey Stoner<\/strong> will part ways with the Japanese manufacturer at the end of 2015, after a five year collaboration with <strong>Honda Racing Corporation.<\/strong> Casey joined the factory squad \u2013 the Repsol Honda Team \u2013 in 2011 and adapted immediately to the RC212V bike winning ten races, and taking one 2nd place and five 3rd places.\u00a0His victory in the Australian Grand Prix was his fifth in succession at his home race where he clinched the World Championship, Honda\u2019s first since 2006.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/rtrsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/honda-casey-stoner-4.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-13439 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/rtrsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/honda-casey-stoner-4.jpg\" alt=\"honda casey stoner\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Throughout his career with Honda, Casey has achieved a total of 15 victories (10 x 2011, 5 x 2012), 2 second positions (1 x 2011, 1 x 2012), 9 third positions (5 x 2011, 4 x 2012) in total 26 podiums. In addition to 17 pole positions (12 x 2011, 5 x 2012) and 9 fastest race laps (7 x 2011, 2 x 2012).
