During this on-track outing, <b>Movistar Yamaha MotoGP<\/b> riders <b>Valentino Rossi<\/b> and <b>Maverick Vi\u00f1ales<\/b> will help <b>Yamaha<\/b>\u2018s engineers fine-tune the development work of the <b>YZR-M1 <\/b>that was<b> <\/b>carried through during the \u201coff-season\u201d. The Valencia test already showed great promise for this formidable team; all members are eager to reclaim the MotoGP World Championship crown.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nine-time World Champion <b>Valentino Rossi<\/b> impressed chasing the premier class trophy in the last three years, securing the Vice-Champion Title every season. He is determined to compete once more at the front this year and his fans from all over the world will be cheering him on as he pursues his quest to make his title win tally a nice round ten.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Last year <b>Rossi<\/b> meant business right from the start of the season and in Argentina he climbed the rostrum for the first time. Though struck by external circumstances on occasion, <b>\u2019The Doctor\u2018<\/b> never lessened his attack and went on to secure nine further podium finishes, with wins in Jerez and Catalunya, remaining a key protagonist in the 2016 challenge until the overseas leg at the end of the year. He joins the Factory crew after gaining two years of experience in the premier class. His 2016 season highlights included a superb win at Silverstone and three third places, in France, Japan and Australia, allowing him to finish fourth in the final standing. He followed up his strong end of the season with a stunning debut on the <b>YZR-M1<\/b> at the Valencia test, topping the time sheets both days, establishing that his switch to <b>Yamaha<\/b> was the right decision.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"s1\">It\u2018s not only the new rider line-up that\u2018s cause for celebration, <b>Yamaha Factory Racing<\/b> and Spanish telecommunications giant <b>Telef\u00f3nica<\/b>\u2018s collaboration also deserves recognition. The two companies signed a <b>five-year partnership agreement<\/b> in the premier class of road racing in 2014, underlined with <b>Movistar<\/b> becoming the team\u2018s title sponsor. In the past three years <b>Yamaha<\/b> and <b>Telef\u00f3nica<\/b>\u2018s shared values and passion for innovation laid the groundwork for success, resulting in a Triple Crown in 2015 and the Team\u2018s Title in 2016.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/rtrsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/yfr_editorial_use_pictures_16-2-2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-15924\" src=\"https:\/\/rtrsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/yfr_editorial_use_pictures_16-2-2.jpg\" alt=\"yamaha_motogp_2017\" width=\"100%\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Movistar Yamaha MotoGP 2017 Team<\/h2>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"s1\">Presenting the 2017 team were MotoGP\u2018s <b>Dylan Gray<\/b> and <b>Izaskun Ruiz,<\/b> who welcomed to the stage <b>Valentino Rossi<\/b> and <b>Maverick Vi\u00f1ales <\/b>for a Q&amp;A session. They were later joined by General Manager of Motorsports Division &amp; YMC MotoGP Group Leader, <b>Kouichi Tsuji<\/b>, Managing Director of Yamaha Motor Racing, <b>Lin Jarvis<\/b>, and <b>Movistar Yamaha MotoGP<\/b>\u2018s Team Director, <b>Massimo Meregalli, <\/b>who went into detail on the technical development of the bike as well as the new rider line-up and its promising prospects.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Luis Miguel Gilperez, <\/b>President of Telef\u00f3nica Espa\u00f1a<b>,<\/b> was also put in the spotlight and further explained <b>Movistar<\/b>\u2018s strategy and its dedication to MotoGP before it was time to reveal the bike.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"s1\">The ceremony saw the <b>2017 Yamaha YZR-M1<\/b> revealed in its new colours with a refreshed livery.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/rtrsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/yfr_editorial_use_pictures_16-5-1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-15921\" src=\"https:\/\/rtrsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/yfr_editorial_use_pictures_16-5-1.jpg\" alt=\"yamaha_motogp_2017\" width=\"100%\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"s1\">Besides the new <b>Movistar<\/b> logo, the <b>Blue Core<\/b> logo (<b>Yamaha<\/b>&#8216;s new generation engine development designed to extract maximum performance and fuel economy) is added as a new design element on the bike, while the deepened Yamaha blue gives the bike a chic finish.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"s1\">Further revelations include the new<b> Movistar Yamaha MotoGP Team<\/b> logo. Its new design is a testament of how much value the team assigns to the <b>Telef\u00f3nica<\/b> and <b>Yamaha<\/b> collaboration and puts the<b> Movistar<\/b>\u2018s<b> <\/b>\u2019M\u2018<b> <\/b>in a more prominent role.
