Spaniard <strong>Maverick Vinales<\/strong> took victory, but only after factory Yamaha team-mate Valentino Rossi crashed out when leading on the last lap, ensuring <strong>Crutchlow<\/strong> was able to climb a position.<\/p>\n<p>Starting from fourth on the grid, <strong>Crutchlow<\/strong> battled hard throughout and clashed fairing with fellow Honda rider Dani Pedrosa at one point. In the closing stages he pushed hard to try and pass <strong>Ducati&#8217;s<\/strong> <strong>Andrea Dovizioso<\/strong>, but had to settle for fifth position.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Cal Crutchlow Le Mans<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The Briton admitted his <strong>RC213V<\/strong> struggled to adapt to the French circuit, but declared himself satisfied after bettering his target for the weekend.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_16419\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-16419\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/rtrsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/BA1X9161-3.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-16419 size-full\" title=\"cal crutchlow le mans\" src=\"https:\/\/rtrsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/BA1X9161-3.jpg\" alt=\"Cal-crutchlow_Le_Mans_2017\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-16419\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Cal Crutchlow 2017, Cal Crutchlow Le Mans, Cal Crutchlow Moto<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h3>Cal Crutchlow \u2013 5th<\/h3>\n<p>&#8220;I was struggling today to turn the bike with the harder front tyre, it was really difficult and I was losing a lot of time in the mid-turn. But I felt quite good in the braking zone and I&#8217;m happy enough to finish in the top five&#8221;.<br \/>\n&#8220;At least we finished and that was important after not doing so in the last race. My target today was the top six and we finished in the top five, so I&#8217;m pleased enough.
