{"id":237858,"date":"2018-02-19T23:00:00","date_gmt":"2018-02-19T22:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rtrsports.com\/repsol-honda-team-unveil-new-2018-livery-jakarta\/"},"modified":"2024-08-09T03:10:55","modified_gmt":"2024-08-09T01:10:55","slug":"repsol-honda-team-unveil-new-2018-livery-jakarta","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rtrsports.com\/en\/blog\/repsol-honda-team-unveil-new-2018-livery-jakarta\/","title":{"rendered":"Repsol Honda Team unveil new 2018 livery in Jakarta"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>Honda Hrc 2018<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>The Repsol Honda Team unveiled their 2018 livery<\/strong> during the squad\u2019s official presentation, which took place today at the Jakarta International Expo, with Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa.<\/p>\n<p>The reigning MotoGP World Champion and his teammate had just completed a successful test in Thailand before flying to Indonesia with Team Manager Alberto Puig and Tetsuhiro Kuwata, HRC\u2019s Director \u2013 General Manager Race Operations Management Division.<\/p>\n<p>This marked the fourth consecutive year that the Repsol Honda Team launch has been hosted by Astra Honda in Indonesia, where MotoGP is hugely popular and Marc and Dani are heroes to the youth generation, and they\u2019re an inspiration for the young riders from Astra Honda\u2019s \u201cStep Up Program,\u201d who attended today\u2019s event.<\/p>\n<p>In the evening, the riders flew back to Europe for some recovery time ahead of the final pre-season test, scheduled for 1-3 March in Qatar.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>2018 Repsol Honda Team Bike<\/strong><\/h2>\n<figure id=\"attachment_18041\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-18041\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/rtrsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/5a8bf3da80ed41.06712515-3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-18041 size-large\" title=\"2018 repsol honda team bike\" src=\"https:\/\/rtrsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/5a8bf3da80ed41.06712515-3.jpg\" alt=\"2018 repsol honda team bike\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-18041\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Honda Hrc 2018<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2 class=\"heading-margin\">Marc Marquez<\/h2>\n<blockquote class=\"quote\"><p>\u201cIt\u2019s a real pleasure to once again be in Indonesia for our team launch because this is an important country for Honda and MotoGP. We\u2019ve been here in Jakarta on many occasions, so it already seems very familiar to me! There are a lot of fans who make us feel very welcome, and it\u2019s good to be able to reward their support by coming here and dedicating some time to them. We\u2019ve already done two tests this winter, and they both went quite well. We\u2019ll also work hard in Qatar, in order to put it all together and be ready for the coming season. We want to fight at the front again this year, and to put on a good show for our fans here and around the world.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2 class=\"heading-margin\">Dani Pedrosa<\/h2>\n<blockquote class=\"quote\"><p>\u201cWhen you see how much people in Jakarta love MotoGP, it\u2019s easy to understand why we came here again for our team launch. From a rider\u2019s point of view, it\u2019s great to see the fans enjoying our sport so much, and to share our own passion. We also had another very good welcome just a few days ago in Thailand, where we had a positive test. So far everything seems to be going well enough, though we\u2019ll understand better where we really are when we\u2019re in Qatar, where the conditions will be quite different.
