It starts again from Australia,<\/strong> and specifically from the spectacular Phillip Island circuit, the World Superbike World Championship<\/strong> (WorldSBK) 2023.<\/p>\n

There are 12<\/strong> stages in the season, which begins the weekend of Feb. 26 and concludes on Oct. 15 in San Juan, with the Argentine leg of the world championship.<\/p>\n

Europe arrives on the calendar
\n World SBK<\/strong>
\n<\/a> 2023 from April 23, when the Superbike paddock lands in the Netherlands at the historic TT Assen track. This is followed by Spain, Italy, England, the Czech Republic, France and Portugal, before the final South American stage.<\/p>\n

Superbike: two Grand Prix in Italy and two races in Spain<\/h2>\n

The Superbike championship will be in Italy at two times: for theEmilia Romagna<\/strong> round at the Marco Simoncelli<\/strong> circuit in Misano Adriatico<\/strong> (June 2-4) and at the Prometeon Italian Round at the Imola<\/strong> track (July 14-16).<\/p>\n

There are also two Spanish stops: in Barcelona<\/strong> and Aragon,<\/strong> where World SBK will now be the premier category after MotoGP is abandoned.<\/p>\n

Differences with the MotoGP Calendar<\/h2>\n

Besides -evidently- the number of rounds, there are other differences between the SBK Calendar<\/strong> and the
\n MotoGP calendar.<\/strong>
\n<\/a>. While touching similar countries, the two championships on many occasions run on different tracks.<\/p>\n

This is the case, for example, in England, where the prototype championship is held at the Silverstone track, shared with Formula 1, while Superbike races at the historic Donington Park track in Derby. Something similar happens in Argentina-where Termas de Rio Hondo and San Juan share the two top motorcycling series-and in France, where MotoGP chooses the LeMans track while Superbike chooses Magny Cours.<\/p>\n

For years then in Italy the Superbike<\/strong><\/a> has elected the spectacular and super-technical Imola<\/strong> track, without instead racing at Mugello,<\/strong> while in the Czech Republic<\/strong> the Most<\/strong> circuit is the one of choice, and not the Brno<\/strong> one, which hosted MotoGP until a few seasons ago and which in recent years is unfortunately encountering quite a few difficulties.<\/p>\n
