Mirco Lazzari est l&#8217;un des photographes les plus connus et les plus appr\u00e9ci\u00e9s des <strong>championnats du monde de MotoGP<\/strong> et de <strong>Superbike<\/strong> et a pris certaines des photos les plus c\u00e9l\u00e8bres de tout le <strong>sport automobile<\/strong>. Mais banal n&#8217;est pas l&#8217;adjectif qu&#8217;il convient d&#8217;associer \u00e0 la grande finale de la saison 2002 du World Superbike. Face \u00e0 face, s\u00e9par\u00e9s par un seul point, le Texan Colin Edwards, champion du monde 2000 et pilote de l&#8217;usine Honda, et l&#8217;Australien Troy Bayliss, champion en titre et \u00e2me de Ducati. Deux champions, mais surtout deux hommes. Deux qui se sont \u00e9lev\u00e9s sans trop de courants d&#8217;air, qui n&#8217;ont pas besoin de fans organis\u00e9s et de marionnettes pour se sentir aim\u00e9s. Ce ne sont pas deux visages d&#8217;ange mais ils jouissent d&#8217;une confiance illimit\u00e9e de la part des managers et des gens. Troy a \u00e9t\u00e9 arrach\u00e9 \u00e0 la p\u00e9riph\u00e9rie du motocyclisme qui compte, mais ceux qui l&#8217;ont choisi ont imm\u00e9diatement compris qu&#8217;il \u00e9tait un diamant, peut-\u00eatre brut mais pr\u00e9cieux. Colin est l&#8217;une des derni\u00e8res lueurs de la grande \u00e9cole am\u00e9ricaine et c&#8217;est sur lui que Honda s&#8217;est appuy\u00e9 pour lancer son d\u00e9fi \u00e0 Ducati : les battre en Superbike avec un bicylindre. Un d\u00e9fi d\u00e9cid\u00e9ment sensationnel.        <\/p>\n<p class=\"ai-optimize-10\">Bayliss et Ducati font une excellente premi\u00e8re moiti\u00e9 de saison 2002, puis Honda lib\u00e8re sa R&amp;D qui pr\u00e9pare du mat\u00e9riel &#8220;\u00e9volution&#8221; pour la VTR qui vient de remporter avec Edwards et Katoh les 8 Heures de Suzuka, la course la plus importante pour les constructeurs japonais. Neuf victoires d&#8217;affil\u00e9e en 2002 pour Colin mais Troy est \u00e0 un point&#8230; Nous sommes en septembre, \u00e0 Imola, l&#8217;un des plus beaux circuits du monde, il y a plus de 100 000 spectateurs passionn\u00e9s. Car quand il y a un grand spectacle, le probl\u00e8me est de faire venir les gens, pas de les faire venir. La tension est \u00e0 couper au couteau, c&#8217;est un duel \u00e0 mort que les deux affrontent avec un grand naturel. Tendus comme des cordes de violon, mais pr\u00eats \u00e0 en d\u00e9coudre \u00e0 armes \u00e9gales et sans hyst\u00e9rie, comme dans un duel du Far West. Et l\u00e0, il devient clair qu&#8217;Edwards, en bon Texan qui aime les armes, a un certain avantage. Mais l&#8217;Australien ne tremble pas et a la m\u00eame strat\u00e9gie en t\u00eate : battre son rival et remporter le titre.<br \/>\nTout s&#8217;est bien pass\u00e9 pour Edwards et la Honda, deux fois d&#8217;abord, mais le public a applaudi les deux. Dans ce western, il n&#8217;y avait pas de m\u00e9chant, m\u00eame si l&#8217;usine de la moto de Bayliss se trouve \u00e0 moins de cinquante kilom\u00e8tres (via Emilia) d&#8217;Imola. Ce fut l&#8217;une des plus belles courses au monde en termes de contenu et de tension \u00e9motionnelle. Il va sans dire que tous deux ont roul\u00e9 comme des champions, \u00e0 tel point que le seul alli\u00e9 possible de Bayliss, son compagnon de marque Ruben Xaus, audacieux, agressif et gascon, n&#8217;a r\u00e9ussi ce jour-l\u00e0 qu&#8217;\u00e0 accompagner les deux ma\u00eetres, comme un bon petit \u00e9colier.         <\/p>\n<p class=\"ai-optimize-11\">Le soir du 29 septembre 2002, Troy et Colin n&#8217;\u00e9taient plus deux rivaux : ils \u00e9taient devenus deux personnes profond\u00e9ment li\u00e9es par leur participation \u00e0 la plus grande bataille du Superbike. Au cours d&#8217;une saison o\u00f9, sur 26 manches, ils n&#8217;en ont laiss\u00e9 gagner qu&#8217;une seule \u00e0 l&#8217;autre, l&#8217;homme&#8230; <\/p>\n<p class=\"ai-optimize-12\">Quelques mois plus tard, leurs carri\u00e8res changent brusquement : ils passent tous deux en MotoGP. Bayliss avec la surpuissante Ducati, Edwards avec l&#8217;ing\u00e9rable Aprilia RS Cube. Ce ne sont plus deux pilotes de pointe, mais ils restent deux grands pilotes aim\u00e9s du public et surtout deux grands hommes. Nous sommes \u00e0 Motegi, nous sommes le 5 octobre et le Pacific GP est en train de se disputer. Pr\u00eat \u00e0 partir, le premier virage arrive et John Hopkins d\u00e9cide de retarder le freinage au-del\u00e0 de toute limite, percutant Carlos Checa. Cela d\u00e9clenche un &#8220;beaner&#8221; qui laisse m\u00eame Bayliss sur la voie de secours, qui r\u00e9alise que sa course est termin\u00e9e en un instant. Mais l&#8217;\u0153il avis\u00e9 aper\u00e7oit l&#8217;Aprilia de Colin plant\u00e9e dans les graviers et incapable de s&#8217;en sortir. &#8220;Aucun commissaire n&#8217;est venu m&#8217;aider, raconte Edwards, puis j&#8217;ai senti une forte pouss\u00e9e et j&#8217;ai r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 repartir. Du coin de l&#8217;\u0153il, j&#8217;ai vu que c&#8217;\u00e9tait Troy, merci beaucoup !<\/p>\n<p class=\"ai-optimize-13\">Pour m\u00e9moire, Edwards a termin\u00e9 \u00e0 la 17e place, \u00e0 une minute et demie de Biaggi, le vainqueur de la course. Mais il a tout de m\u00eame fourni le maximum d&#8217;efforts, notamment pour rendre hommage \u00e0 l&#8217;ami qui l&#8217;avait aid\u00e9. Fair-play, s&#8217;il vous pla\u00eet. Et vous verrez, chers jeunes pilotes, que m\u00eame apr\u00e8s vingt ans, on se souviendra de vous !   <\/p>\n<p class=\"p1 ai-optimize-14\">27 juin 2013<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1 ai-optimize-15\">Circuit d&#8217;Assen, virage Hoge Heide, essais libres du jeudi : Jorge Lorenzo chute \u00e0 238 km\/h et se fracture la clavicule gauche.
