About Project

L’accord entre le leader génois de la conception et de la fabrication de vêtements et d’accessoires de sécurité pour le secteur de la course automobile, et la marque de la compétition historique de voitures anciennes, prévoit la production de vêtements techniques officiels de la marque “Mille Miglia”, pour les 4 prochaines éditions.

OMP sera l’unique producteur de la ligne de vêtements techniques et d’accessoires de course, “édition spéciale Mille Miglia”, qui comprend des casques de protection, des combinaisons, des chaussures, des gants et des sous-vêtements de dernière génération, réalisés avec le même savoir-faire traditionnel qui a marqué sa production depuis 35 ans.

La première collection 2009 a été pensée exclusivement pour les amateurs de voitures anciennes, avec une attention particulière portée à la technologie et au confort moderne. Grâce à cet accord, les participants à Mille Miglia pourront, jusqu’en 2012, commander et faire confectionner leur propre tenue de compétition sur mesure, avec broderie personnalisée et originale sur demande.

I have known and worked with Riccardo Tafà since 1995 when we collaborated for the first time on a project for the Williams Formula 1 team. Several clients followed. After leaving Williams to work for Gerhard Berger then owner of the Toro Rosso F1 Team, I turned again to Riccardo to seek his help in finding a tool supplier for the team and Riccardo duly obliged with an introduction to USAG, a partnership with Toro Rosso which endured for five years. I recently started a new role as Group Commercial Director for the renowned Andretti Autosport organisation and I find myself working with Riccardo once again on a number of interesting projects.
