Circuit Description
Located 30 km northeast of Florence in the beautiful Tuscan countryside, Mugello is a modern circuit with excellent facilities. Purchased by Ferrari in 1988, the 5.245-kilometer circuit has been renovated to a high standard and enjoys a growing reputation as one of the most modern, scenic and safe circuits in the world. A mix of slow and fast turns, sweeping curves, long straights and sloping corners make Mugello one of the most challenging circuits for drivers and engineers. After hosting the first MotoGP event in 1976, the circuit became a fixture in 1991 after extensive renovations. Located within a beautiful tree-lined Tuscan valley, Mugello also offers ample viewing areas for a particularly rowdy and partisan Italian crowd.
