Circuit Description

Built in 1986 and hosting its first Grand Prix a year later, the Jerez circuit is now one of the most popular MotoGP venues and the focal point of a sports-fanatic city. Located in a gentle valley in southern Spain, Jerez is blessed with a consistently favorable climate and beautiful scenery, with its numerous grandstands providing perfect viewing for 250,000 spectators.

With two alternative road circuits (4.423 m and 4,428 m), which were resurfaced in 2005, Jerez is a popular venue used by many race teams for testing throughout the year, while its recently upgraded business and media facilities have proved a popular addition to the complex. Other facilities, such as the control tower and pits, have also been greatly improved.
