The Formula 1 calendar, after a difficult 2020, is destined to welcome back all 23 stages originally planned in its program. In light of the difficulties related to the epidemiological situation from COVID-19, the calendar has undergone significant changes during the winter and, probably, further interventions may be considered necessary. After the confirmation of the cancellation of the Vietnam Grand Prix, which has not yet made its debut, the circus confirms the stages of Portimao and Imola. In addition, the appointment in Australia has been postponed due to the substantial changes that the organizers are making to the semi-permanent track in Melbourne. With the exception of Canada, which is still on the calendar at this time but at high risk, the paddock should return to both the American continent and Asia. If the Canadian stage were to be skipped, the Turkish track in Istanbul is ready to make a comeback and, after last season’s daring race that delivered the seventh world title to Lewis Hamilton, take over for the second consecutive year. The double stage in the Middle East on the new track in Jeddah and in Abu Dhabi will bring the curtain down on the 2021 Formula 1 season, the last one before the advent of ground-effect cars.
