The Vettel-Hamilton clash at Baku is possibly the biggest “hang on a minute” moment of the 2017 F1 season. Title contenders and arch-rivals made contact while lagging behind the Safety Car at the Azerbaijan GP.

After a corner, Hamilton brake-tested Vettel (he will claim he didn’t). After hitting the back of the Mercedes, the German driver proceeded to come up beside the Briton and slammed his car onto the rival’s (he will claim it was not dangerous).

Words over the radio were exchanged and penalties were given. Maybe not the most sportmanship-ish bit of the season, but one that reminded us that F1 drivers are far from being robotic crybabies.
