Connecting Southeast Asian fans with MotoGP through a strategic, multi-year partnership
RTR Sports Marketing successfully supported and advised GOD55 Sports and the Honda LCR Team in the development and execution of a strategic multi-year sponsorship agreement, enabling a new digital media brand to enter MotoGP through a credible, high-impact and market-relevant partnership.
The challenge
GOD55 Sports, a fast-growing digital sports media platform focused on Southeast Asia, set out to accelerate its international positioning and strengthen its brand authority by associating with a top-tier global property.
The objective was not simply to secure logo visibility, but to build a partnership capable of generating long-term relevance, audience engagement and tangible marketing value within highly competitive and culturally diverse markets.
For the Honda LCR Team, the strategic goal was to further expand its footprint in Southeast Asia and to engage a young, digitally native fan base through a content-driven partner with strong local credibility.
The strategy
RTR Sports Marketing acted as strategic advisor and intermediary throughout the entire project, supporting both parties in defining objectives, aligning commercial expectations and structuring a partnership designed to go well beyond traditional sponsorship assets.
The result is an agreement that positions GOD55 Sports as Premium Sponsor of the Honda LCR Team, with a strong focus on brand exposure, digital storytelling and regional fan engagement.
The GOD55 Sports brand will feature prominently on the Honda RC213V machines of Johann Zarco and Diogo Moreira, as well as across team assets and communication platforms. To further amplify awareness and market relevance, two special liveries dedicated to GOD55 Sports will be showcased during key strategic races: the Italian Grand Prix and the Indonesian Grand Prix.
Activation and engagement
The partnership has been designed to leverage Honda LCR Team’s sporting platform as a content and engagement engine for GOD55 Sports’ audiences across Southeast Asia.
The collaboration will enable the creation of tailored digital content, athlete-driven storytelling initiatives and dedicated fan-oriented activities, connecting local audiences with the global MotoGP ecosystem through an authentic and culturally aligned narrative right from the MotoGP Season Launch in Kuala Lumpur.
This approach supports GOD55 Sports’ mission of delivering trusted, locally relevant sports content, while reinforcing Honda LCR Team’s positioning as an internationally oriented and fan-centric organisation.
The outcome
The agreement establishes a long-term commercial and communication platform for both partners. While GOD55 Sports gains a prestigious entry point into MotoGP and an international brand association aligned with excellence, the Honda LCR Team strengthens its presence in Southeast Asia and secures a partner capable of activating the sponsorship through powerful digital distribution and regional storytelling.
The partnership also includes two high-visibility, market-focused race activations through bespoke liveries, designed to maximise media impact and social amplification in two strategically important territories.
Our role
RTR Sports supported the project from the earliest strategic phase through to the final negotiation and partnership structure. The consultancy activity covered property selection, commercial framework design, rights definition, asset optimisation and activation strategy, ensuring that the agreement delivered measurable marketing value and long-term relevance for both GOD55 Sports and Honda LCR Team.
Acting as trusted intermediary between the parties, RTR Sports facilitated alignment on objectives, market priorities and brand positioning, ultimately enabling the successful completion of a multi-year international sponsorship programme.
This partnership represents a clear example of how a data-driven, market-aware and activation-focused approach to motorsport sponsorship can create meaningful business opportunities and sustainable brand growth.
