The FIA and the Formula 1 have announced the calendar for the 2025 Formula 1 World Championship, another 24-race season that promises to excite fans, drivers and teams. This year marks the 75th anniversary of the championship, a historic milestone that will be celebrated with races around the world.
The season will begin with the Australian Grand Prix March 14-16 and conclude in Abu Dhabi the weekend of Dec. 5-7, taking the paddock through five of the seven continents.
Important Dates and New Curiosities of the 2025 Calendar.
Impact of Ramadan
For 2025, Ramadan will fall in March, bringing some calendar changes: the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, usually held in March, have been moved to April to respect religious celebrations.
Summer Break and Geographic Reorganization.
As in previous years, the traditional summer break will remain in August, with three weekends off between the Hungarian Grand Prix in Budapest and the Dutch Grand Prix in Zandvoort. The changes introduced in 2024 to improve transfer logistics are maintained in 2025: starting in Asia with Australia, China and Japan, followed by a long series of European races in the summer and American races in the fall, then ending the season in the Middle East with Qatar and Abu Dhabi.
Sprints and Pre-Seasonal Testing.
There will be six Sprint races in 2025: in Shanghai, Miami, Spa, Austin, Sao Paulo and Qatar, offering even more excitement for fans. In addition, pre-season testing will take place in Bahrain from February 26 to 28.
