The session at the Losail Circuit – which gets underway on Thursday – represents the last official opportunity to fine tune ahead of the opening race of the new MotoGP campaign, which takes place at the same venue in just over two weeks’ time.

The Briton has impressed at the two previous close season tests, finishing third fastest in Malaysia and fourth in Thailand. While he feels the team is in a good place, Crutchlow knows there is still important work to be done over the next couple of days as he targets a strong start to the year.

“I’m looking forward to getting back out on the bike tomorrow at the Qatar circuit for the final test of the year. We’ve been happy with the last two tests, but I think we can still improve in some areas and into the first race of the season which is only now three weeks away, so I think everybody is excited and now looking forward to that.
“We’ll try and put the finishing touches on our program at this test and I look forward to working closely with the team and Honda over the next three days to make the bike as competitive as possible for the season-opener.
