About Project

The partnership between Ducati, the prestigious Italian motorcycle manufacturer, Intel, and Toshiba, leading companies in the field of Information Technology, has given rise to an innovative dual agreement arrived at through the consultancy services of RTR Sports Marketing.

The agreement between these 3 international brands involves Toshiba supplying its notebooks, based on Intel processors, which the Ducati MotoGp Team will use to control the electronics of its bikes, marrying the best in electronics with the best in the Italian motorcycle tradition and promising even greater on-track performance for the Borgo Panigale-based team, thanks to cutting-edge technological solutions.

The partnership has proved to be extremely fruitful and has also given rise to a licensing project enabling Toshiba to produce the first in a series of Ducati-branded products: the ultra-portable Satellite U500 Ducati Edition notebook. This state-of-the-art computer, equipped with Intel® Core™ 2 Duo processor technology, offers unrivalled performance and stands out with its elegant, sporty looks: compact, solid and balanced, inspired by the fairing of the Ducati bikes.

The notebook, which offers maximum mobility thanks to the use of light, sturdy materials, was officially unveiled in Berlin at the IFA technology fair and in Misano on the occasion of the thirteenth round of the 2009 motorcycle world championships.
