The Termas de Río Hondo circuit is located 6 km from the city that gives it its name, in the province of Santiago del Estero. It was built on an area of 150 hectares and officially opened on May 11, 2008, during the visit of the Argentine Touring Car Racing championship. In 2012, work began on the reconditioning, expansion and modernization of the circuit, with the aim of turning it into the most modern, safe and lively circuit in Latin America.
