About Project
DuPont, the most dynamic science-based company in the world and European leader in the production of automotive refinish paints, has signed a technical partnership agreement with the Ducati Team MotoGP for the supply of Standox® branded paints. Standox® is also the official supplier of paint materials for most Formula 1 teams.
Collaboration between DuPont and the legendary Italian company based in Borgo Panigale has been launched with the aim of sharing their respective technological innovation in R&D. DuPont will supply latest generation paints with the Standox® brand to the Ducati Team MotoGP which will be applied to the fairings on Ducati Desmosedici.
Since the Italian GP which was held on June the 3rd at the Mugello circuit, the Loris Capirossi’s and Casey Stoner’s motorcycles have been repainted using Standox® paints which not only add a mica finish to the classic red of the fairings but, thanks to their special light formulation, do not increase the weight of the bodywork.
