Circuit Description
Designed by German architect Hermann Tilke, Buriram International Circuit was inaugurated in 2014 and will see the debut of MotoGP™ this season. Located about 410 km northeast of the country’s capital, Bangkok, the city of Buriram in Buriram province literally translates to “city of happiness,” and its typically hot and humid climate is a key feature of its location in Southeast Asia. The 4.554-kilometer track includes 12 turns and the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship has been held there since 2015. Its state-of-the-art facilities include a total capacity of 100,000 people, with various grandstands around the circuit offering spectators incredible viewing opportunities.
