Us cable broadcaster ESPN has signed an agreement to show Fiba-sanctioned international basketball tournaments for the next five years.

The deal, which runs until September 2021, includes the exclusive rights to more than 1,300 games from the Fiba World Cup, Women’s World Cup and all Continental Championships, as well as Olympic qualifiers and other age-group events.

“ESPN is excited to continue our partnership with Fiba as the popularity of international basketball continues to ascend,” said Burke Magnus, ESPN’s executive vice-president of programming and scheduling.
