Yesterday MotoGP Championship Leader, Repsol Honda’s Marc Marquez, brought London to a standstill as he rode his Honda RC213V across the iconic Millennium Bridge landmark, becoming the first person to do so on a motor vehicle. With the famous St. Paul’s Cathedral as a backdrop, Marc passed over the bridge several times and concluded with a spectacular burnout on the North bank side of the river. A brief video of today’s event can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10152806222695769 and today, Dorna and BT Sport will release a special rights-free video of the event.

Some words from the Champ

Marc Marquez: “It was really nice to become the first ever person to cross the Millennium Bridge on a motorbike! This event was really important for MotoGP ahead of the British Grand Prix and we were very lucky with the weather – I normally expect rain in England! So to be here in the centre of London on such a bright day, riding over the River Thames and making history was a memorable experience. The slippery metal surface of the bridge did not make it easy, but I tried to put on a good show for all the fans who came out to see us!”
