Repsol Honda Team 2017 racing effort

Jakarta (Indonesia), 3 February 2017 – Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa today unveiled the 2017 Repsol Honda Team racing effort to the Indonesian and International media in the beautiful compound at the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo), located in the centre of the Indonesian capital.

Having spent yesterday enjoying the warm welcome and proud support of the associates at the AHM Factory in Karawang, the riders began today by meeting excited Honda customers at a dealer facility and then moved on to the JIExpo, where they spent time talking with the media.

Marc and Dani were joined onstage by Tetsuhiro Kuwata (HRC Director – General Manager Race Operations Management Division) and Team Principal Livio Suppo for the official unveiling of RC213V that the team will race in the 2017 MotoGP World Championship. Also on stage were Astra Honda Motor executives including Toshiyuki Inuma (President Director), Johannes Loman (Senior Vice President), Morgono Tanuwijaya (Marketing Director) and Koji Sugita (Marketing Director). A partnership contract was signed by Mr Kuwata, Mr Inuma and Mr Loman.

Four very lucky Indonesian fans, winners of a Repsol social-media contest based around the #MadAboutRepsolHondaTeam hashtag, had the exclusive opportunity to closely admire the RC213V and to meet and greet Marc and Dani before the riders left for the airport to make their return to Europe.

This was the third consecutive year that the Repsol Honda Team launch has been excellently hosted by Astra Honda in Indonesia. On the same occasion, AHM presented their own 2017 racing activities and officially launched the new Honda CBR250RR Repsol Edition, CRF250 Rally and CRF1000L Africa Twin.

After a stint at ISFORP (public relations training institute) in Milan, he moved to England. He began his career in London in PR, first at MSP Communication and then at Counsel Limited. Then, following his unhealthy passion for sport, he moved to Jean Paul Libert's SDC and started working in two and four-wheelers, this was in 1991/1992. A brief move to Monaco followed, where he worked alongside the owner of Pro COM, a sports marketing agency founded by Nelson Piquet. He returned to Italy and started working in the first person as RTR, first a consulting firm and then a sports marketing company. Back in 2001 RTR won the ESCA award for the best sports MKTG project in Italy in the year 2000. Among other things, RTR obtained the highest score among all categories and represented Italy in the ESCA European Contest. From that moment on, RTR will no longer participate in other national or international awards. Over the years he takes some satisfaction and swallows a lot of toads. But he is still here, writing in a disenchanted and simple manner, with the aim of giving practical (unsolicited) advice and food for thought.
