What has changed since 2023
In 2023 there were ten teams, with names such as Alpha Tauri and Alfa Romeo that no longer exist. Today there are two new entries (Audi in place of Sauber, and Cadillac) and title sponsors have become the norm: ten teams out of eleven carry a brand in their name, from Oracle to Mastercard, from HP to Atlassian, from Visa and Cash App to Revolut. The engines change too: Ford with Red Bull, Honda with Aston Martin, Audi with its own engine and, for the first time, Mercedes as a supplier to Alpine.
For those thinking of entering F1, the most visible teams are also the ones that change name and partners most often: to find out how much it costs to get in, read our guide to the cost of Formula 1 sponsorship, and to see how a long-term partnership is built, the story of Petronas and Mercedes.
