Riccardo Tafà

Riccardo nació en Giulianova, se licenció en Derecho en la Universidad de Bolonia y decidió dedicarse a otra cosa. Tras una temporada en el ISFORP (instituto de formación en relaciones públicas) de Milán, se trasladó a Inglaterra. Comenzó su carrera en Londres en el sector de las relaciones públicas, primero en MSP Communication y luego en Counsel Limited. Luego, siguiendo su pasión malsana por el deporte, se trasladó a la SDC de Jean Paul Libert y empezó a trabajar en dos y cuatro ruedas, esto fue en 1991/1992. Siguió un breve traslado a Mónaco, donde trabajó junto al propietario de Pro COM, una agencia de marketing deportivo fundada por Nelson Piquet. Regresó a Italia y empezó a trabajar en primera persona como RTR, primero una consultora y luego una empresa de marketing deportivo. 
Ya en 2001, RTR ganó el premio ESCA al mejor proyecto de MKTG deportivo en Italia en el año 2000. Entre otras cosas, RTR obtuvo la puntuación más alta entre todas las categorías y representó a Italia en el concurso europeo de la ESCA. A partir de ese momento, RTR deja de participar en otros premios nacionales o internacionales. A lo largo de los años se lleva algunas satisfacciones y se traga muchos sapos. Pero sigue aquí, escribiendo de forma desencantada y sencilla, con el objetivo de dar consejos prácticos (no solicitados) y elementos de reflexión.

I recently started a new role as Group Commercial Director for the renowned Andretti Autosport organisation and I find myself working with Riccardo once again on a number of interesting projects. Why has this relationship with Riccardo endured ? He’s smart, knows the commercial side of sport inside out and back to front and he’s honest and trustworthy. Riccardo Tafà is a “doer” not a “talker”: in over 20 years I have never had a dispute either with him or with a company that he has introduced and each partnership introduced by Riccardo has delivered quantifiable ROI to rights holder and sponsor alike. I can think of no better testimonial of Riccardo’s diligence, knowledge, contact base and hard work than that.
